Crochet for Stress Relief

Things have been slow for me right now, I have a cold.  Or rather a sinus infection – that won’t go away.  While I am spending many hours just feeling miserable and sitting, I have also been crocheting.   Crochet is easy to do and can help relieve stress because it is repetitive.  If you already know how to crochet then you can make items to give as Christmas presents.  I have been working on making my niece a cute and easy little princess purse.  Here is a link for an easy pink child’s purse:  Click Here. These type of easy projects can be done in just a few hours.

I am also going to try my hand at  Amigurumi the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals.  I know some one that would like a Kirby stuffed animal amigurumi.  I found one on Esty that I would like to try to make, I just have to look around for a pattern, or make up my own.

Last year I worked on making scarves for a craft show we were doing around Christmas time.  They weren’t a big seller, because I don’t think most people want to give scarves as presents.  But they were so cute I gave one to my daughter and to my niece.  Click Here for pattern and picture for a curly child’s scarf.  I also think I am going to try to sell some of the purses I make at this years Christmas Bazaar and see if they sell any better than the scarves did.  Hopefully I will get better before I get all of these things fininshed.
